I’m not even joking, it’s such a drag. I have decided, since I only
have less than two weeks until my holibob to Spain with my friend Jaime, who is
lovely but very svelte, it was time to stop eating cake and chocolate and get
on the Special K. Its day 5 of week 1 and I’m already beginning to get out my angry eyes just at the sight of the stuff.
Now don’t get me wrong, I did bring this all upon myself and I should
have either just not eaten said cake or I should be happy with my shape, but
you know, ITS NOT THAT EASY. Earlier this year I did lose quite a bit of weight
and it was great, but it appears that I have neither the will power nor the
stamina not to fall into the gaping trap that is the yoyo diet. Up and down, up
and down. I even yoyo exercise – one week I’m a super eager beaver and go
almost every day and the next I do the opposite and sit on my ever expanding
bottom, not sharing share bags of Minstrels and watching partial-reality telly.
I know that I’m not alone in this cycle and you’re thinking, stop
moaning and go for a run. But I can’t, it’s too hot. I can’t, I already washed
my hair today. I can’t, I might fall over and land in poop. GAH I also can’t
stop making excuses either apparently.
What I am doing, however, is this damned Special K challenge. I have to
keep telling myself, as I shovel in each bowl of low fat breakfast cereal and listen to each embarrassing belly gurgle that
in 2 weeks time, I will look like Gizelle Bundchen (see below for reference). I’m
fully aware that this is unattainable but you can’t knock a girl for being massively optimistic, right?
This challenge has put a temporary stopper on any baking
escapades I had planned, which has, I’m afraid, meant I won’t be posting the
planned monthly baking blog (not that you knew this was the plan) for June but
there will be one in July if you are lucky duckies.
I know that this hasn't been the most inspiring of posts,
but hopefully it will mean that when I post my holiday snaps on here, you can
all concentrate on the beautiful photography and thrilling account of holiday
adventures and be jealous rather than think, that woman should have shared those
chocolate buttons.

Hello there, I hope you're doing well with the Special K challenge! can't wait for more new sweet recipes to come!

Hi! I got to the end of it after what felt like forever haha! Once I'm done chatting on about my holiday I'll be doing some more baking-based blogs and I'll most likely do your tag as well =) Glad you have enjoyed reading my blog!
